Summer Camp

About Summer Music Camp

Zayas Studios Summer Camp is a unique opportunity for students elementary thru middle school of ALL music levels to not only have fun in a safe, encouraging environment but to explore and gain hands on experience with many different instruments. During this day camp, they will rotate through several music rooms: guitar, keys, drums, vocal, band ensemble and team building class. They will be working with our team of professional, enthusiastic music instructors each day to gain a well-rounded, music immersion experience they’ll never forget.

Returning again this year is our Team Building Class! In this class, students will participate in engaging, fun and interactive activities where they will learn how to develop positive team building and character skills. These are wonderful skills to develop in students that are also essential to bring with them into a music class setting, as well as everyday life.

More than just a “camp”

At Zayas Studios we believe in training up musicians in excellence. In everything we do here, we strive for just that. While camp will be fun and entertaining, your student will also be receiving both professional and quality instruction. Our instructors infuse music theory and education in a creative, interactive curriculum developed by our staff. In addition, our instructor to student ratio will be relatively small to maintain the “quality” we aim for, providing the most beneficial learning environment for your student.

What Camp Day Will Look Like

Students will be assigned a break-out group consisting of a small group of fellow music campers according to age. During the week their break-out group will rotate through different sessions, gaining exposure to all our amazing instructors, many fun instruments and lots of great material to learn from.

They will be playing several styles of music including pop, rock, classical and contemporary music. In addition to all the exciting music instruction they will receive, students will also have access to several recreational activities during their free play hour including foosball, basketball, volleyball, pool tables, games and more – all located in the student center at Christ Fellowship where camp will be held.

Camp FAQ’s

Who will be the instructors at Summer Music Camp?

Summer camp is a great opportunity for students to explore music in a positive, fun environment with trained professionals. Our camp staff consists of our current team of private music instructors. They are all professional instructors who come with lots of experience and study in their instrument and are equally as gifted in working with our students as they are musicians. Our enthusiastic, energetic team strives for the highest level of excellence both as musicians and music instructors. To learn more about our teaching team: CLICK HERE!

Does my student need music experience to participate in Music Camp?

No, not at all! Students of all levels, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced of any instrument or none at all can participate. Each student will be assigned a break-out group according to age and each class is tailored to accommodate students of varying music levels.

Do you offer Extended Care at camp?

No, unfortunately we do not offer extended care. All students must be picked up within the 15 minute pick up window between 4-4:15 pm and drop off will open 15 minutes before camp start time between 8:45-9:00 am. Late pickups will accrue a $1 per minute penalty fee.

Will You Provide Lunch?

No. Your student will need to bring their own lunch to camp. We will be providing drinks.

What age does my student need to be for Music Camp?

Your camper must be at least 5 years old to attend camp and we accept students up through the 8th grade for both camp weeks. Note: if your student just graduated from the 8th grade this previous school year, they are welcome to attend!

How should my student dress for camp?

We will provide a camp t-shirt to each camper that is optional to wear. Casual, comfortable clothing works just fine, however we do encourage modest, appropriate dress attire for both girls and boys.

My child has behavioral challenges or special needs. Is your staff trained to work with these students?

We know music can be a powerful influence in a child’s life but our camp does not have a fully trained staff or the facilities to accommodate all special needs or behavioral challenges. Our camp staff is available to discuss with you whether camp is the right environment for your child and how we can help him/her through the camp experience.

How do you manage children with allergies or special medical issues?

The required registration form includes a space to list any student allergies or medical concerns we should be aware of. If you would like to specifically discuss any concerns with us, please contact us PRIOR to the start of camp so we can give the matter the attention it deserves.

  • We DO NOT administer medication during camp but we can keep epipens and inhalers in the office, clearly labeled with the child’s name
  • We cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment

If I need to withdraw my student from camp, what do I do?

All withdrawals must be done in writing (email is acceptable) prior to June 22nd. All payments will be refunded except for the non-refundable, non-transferable $50 registration fee for each student. Withdrawals after June 22nd are responsible for the full tuition. There are no refunds for absences.
